Lemmings is a popular puzzle-solving game from the 1990s that is making a comeback. Find out how you can get a Lemmings free download, play the lemmings game free online, and watch some gameplay videos here!

More About Lemmings

Lemmings is unusual in that it starts off deceptively easy and has very little going on, except for tiny Lemming creatures walking around trying to find the exit. All you have to do is figure out how to get them there safely. You gradually learn from advancing levels what each button does, which you can see a sample of in the video below.

For more Lemmings videos and solutions, there is a Lemmings playlist on the DJ Retro Games YouTube Channel 😉

The fun really begins sometime after the first five levels. The game shifts to taking place in a larger area with more obstacles. You have a limited number of each type of worker available to you (blockers, floaters, climbers, etc.). How you utilize them is up to you, but think fast! Lemmings are constantly walking around, often plunging to their death without your help.

Although, mine can accidentally die in comical ways even with my help. Picture accidentally making a hole in the path due to a timing issue and 50 lemmings suddenly walk off the safe pathway, plunging to their deaths in the water below. Sorry, little guys!

In short, Lemmings is a very addictive and active puzzle game with no frills. The increasingly complex solutions will keep even master puzzle solvers entertained for hours, yet it is simple enough that everyone can play.

There are several ways to play Lemmings for free on a modern computer, online and offline.
